How do I know if I need a bra fitting?

The right bra can feel amazing!

Most people are wearing the wrong bra size and don’t even realize it. If your bra bothers you, it's not your bra. You do not have to settle.

A professional bra fitting can completely change how you feel in your clothes and about your body. Here are some signs it's time to get fitted:

1. Your straps are always slipping or digging in

If you’re constantly adjusting your straps or they’re leaving marks, your bra may not be offering proper support—or it may not be the right size. It is probably (ironically) too loose in the band and too small in the cup.

2. Your band rides up your back

The band should sit level all the way around. If it rides up, it’s likely too big and isn’t giving the support you need. The support comes from a comfortably snug band. Once you experience that, you'll never go back...

3. You have spillage or gaping cups

Spilling out of your cups or having a gap between your bra and your chest means the cup size isn’t right. A fitting can fix this instantly. Most people are DDD/F and up- G,H, I are all common sizes we sell in our shop. The idea the "DD" is "big" is false.

4. You feel uncomfortable by mid-day

A well-fitting bra should feel comfortable all day long. If you're rushing to take it off when you get home, that’s a red flag. You should take your bra off to sleep, but you shouldn't feel like you have to. Think this is an impossibility? It's not- we promise!

5. It’s been over a year since your last Bra fitting

Your body changes—whether from weight fluctuations, pregnancy, aging, or other factors. Experts recommend getting a bra fitting every 6–12 months. Maybe your sizes are still the same and that's great. We also recommend you start wearing your bras in one more row of hooks after about 6 months. A bra you used to love that's now a problem might just need to be work tighter. That's what the extra hooks are for!

6. You’re wearing the same size you did years ago

If you’ve never been professionally fitted, or you’ve relied on guessing your size, you might be surprised what a fitting reveals. Most people who come in as "36C" leave as 32DDD/F. There are so many more bra sizes and styles than the big box retail will bother to sell.

Even if your bras seem to fit okay, a professional fitter can fine-tune your size and style based on your body shape, lifestyle, and needs. Once we figure out the kinds of things that work for you, we'll have a great foundation to keep you in styles and sizes you love. If this sounds like you and you're near us, book a fitting and let us help!
